The Forgotten Ways: Reactivating the Missional Church by Alan Hirsch

forgotten ways reactivating the missional churchCheck out Ken Walker’s book review of The Forgotten Ways: Reactivating the Missional Church by Alan Hirsch over at Church Central.

Walker says of the book: “Hirsch contends that the church must take a missional approach by sending people out into the culture, instead of relying on attractional, ‘y’all come’ evangelism. He provides examples, such as the church in Melbourne that sold its property and buildings to invest in a shopping mall where it has a presence in suburban life.”

Another great book stressing the missional imperative for all Christians. For another take on this, see the ministry of Mosaic as described in Gerardo Marti’s book A Mosaic of Believers: Diversity and Innovation in a Multiethnic Church.
